Meghan Markle: Why the Duchess of Sussex will not wear a dress by Victoria Beckham even though Prince Harry’s wife loves them
Kate Middleton’s sister-in-law never fails to wow the public in her simple but chic ensembles as she attends royal duties.
So far, we’ve seen Meghan – who is expecting her first baby – wear Givenchy, Altuzarra and Carolina Herrera.
However, the one designer we’ll never see the Duchess wearing is a dress by is Victoria Beckham.
In a resurfaced interview with Glamour, Meghan explained the reason behind this is not because she doesn’t want to, in fact she loves the designer’s dresses.
Meghan explained her “long torso” stops her from wearing the gowns.
She told the publication at the time: “What I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me.”
She explained: “For example I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.”
It’s obvious Victoria Beckham isn’t bothered by the statement, as the two have reportedly struck up a close friendship.
Victoria and David were even among the guests at Meghan and Harry’s wedding, which took place at Windsor Castle in May.
