Mourinho has been at loggerheads with the France World Cup winner for some time now, and their feud shows no sign of resolving itself.
Fans have been split over whose side their on, but Ince is firmly in Mourinho’s camp, believing the Portuguese had a decision to make ahead of the Arsenal game – and made the right one.
“It feels like every time I speak about Man United, it’s about Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku. I’m getting bored of them both,” Ince told Paddy Power News.
“Against Arsenal, the game was quite exciting and fun – which is rare for United at the minute – until those two came on the pitch.
“It wasn’t necessarily top class football on display, but it was enjoyable, and that’s all the fans wanted.”
Manchester United play host to Premier League basement boys Fulham next time out, and all eyes will be on Mourinho’s team selection.
Ince added: “The big decision for Jose Mourinho now is whether he keeps the same side for the Fulham game.
“He keeps chopping and changing it, and I can see why.
“He did the right thing in dropping Pogba and Lukaku, they don’t seem remotely interested, and they’re just not good enough.”
