Neymar has seemed to suggest that he’ll have to play in the Premier League one day if he is to be considered a great player.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar has been strongly linked with moves to his former club Barcelona and their rivals Real Madrid, although he appeared to suggest that England would be a preferred destination in a new video interview.

Speaking on his official YouTube channel , Neymar fielded questions from various football stars including his former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez and Brazil international colleague Gabriel Jesus.

And then when Jesus’s Manchester City teammate Benjamin Mendy asks him about a potential move to the Premier League, Neymar was unequivocal in his respose.

“Answer me sincerely,” Mendy asks. “Do you think one day you’ll play in the Premier League?”

“It’s a big competition,” Neymar responds. “One of the greatest in the world.

“We don’t know how tomorrow will be, but I believe that every great player, at least one day, has to play in the Premier League.

“If you’re playing there, then I hope you can keep enjoying the Premier League, because you deserve only the best! Hugs! Thanks!”

Out of the Premier League clubs, perhaps only Mendy and Jesus’s City possess the funds to complete a move for the 26-year-old.

Neymar spoke about this season’s Premier League back in September, and predicted current leaders City to win it .

“Who will in it? Woah, that’s difficult,” he said.

“It’s very hard, it’s very difficult, but Manchester City will win it.

“Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth is Tottenham.”
